New Product Announcement:

For users of Roland brand VM series digital mixers and VS series digital audio workstations, who are frustrated with the lack of visibility into system operations inherent in these devices, q music’s Quimby (qMB) package provides comprehensive metering and level monitoring functionality.

Running on a Windows PC, Quimby communicates with the monitored VM mixer or VS studio over the MIDI protocol. Quimby provides unambiguous, simultaneous display of the signal level of all channels or tracks, allowing the operator to maximize gain structure, minimize noise, and avoid distortion. Quimby is also capable of being run remote, allowing monitoring of a VS or VM system arbitrarily distant from the operator.

q music’s Quimby will run on PCs running Microsoft Windows XP/2K/ME/98. It requires a Windows compatible MIDI port. Quimby will ship in the fourth quarter of 2005, and will be available direct from q music.
